Terms of Service

JyotiMitra computes Vedic astrological charts from high-precision astronomical data and produces readings from them. The planetary positions are calculated, not invented: the same birth details will always produce the same chart.

The interpretations built on top of those positions are a traditional practice, not a science. We are careful to keep the two clearly separated, and you should too.

Astrological readings are for reflection and guidance only. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or investment advice. Do not use a reading to decide whether to take medication, end a relationship, make an investment, or delay seeing a qualified professional.

If you are dealing with a health, legal or financial matter, consult someone licensed to advise on it. If you are in distress, please contact a doctor or a helpline rather than an astrology app.

We do not sell remedies, gemstones or ritual services, and we do not accept commissions from anyone who does. Where a reading suggests a traditional remedy, it is information, not a sales pitch.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use JyotiMitra.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the birth details you enter. A wrong birth time produces a wrong chart, and that is not a defect in the service.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep access to your mobile number secure, since that is how sign-in works.
• If you add another person's birth details — a partner or family member — you confirm you have their permission to do so.

• JyotiMitra Pro costs ₹299 per month, or ₹1999 per year (≈₹166/month). Payment is taken through Razorpay.
• All prices are in Indian rupees and include GST. The amount shown is the amount charged.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
• Prices may change. We will tell you before a change affects a renewal, and you can cancel if you do not want to continue.
• Free-tier limits exist to keep the service affordable to run. We may adjust them, and we will not reduce something you have already paid for.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, resell or redistribute readings, or build a competing service on our API.
• Circumvent rate limits, free-tier limits or authentication.
• Upload another person's details in order to harass, profile or make decisions about them without their knowledge.
• Attempt to disrupt the service, or to access accounts or data that are not yours.

We may suspend an account that does these things, and we may do so without notice where the service or other users are at risk.

We aim to keep JyotiMitra available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. Where a paid subscription is materially affected for an extended period, contact us and we will make it right.

The software, the interpretation engine and the written content are ours. Your birth details and the readings generated for you are yours — you may keep, print and share them freely for your own use.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for decisions you make based on a reading, which follows from what the service is and is not, described above.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at TODO_CITY_STATE.
